Trips

St Joseph’s trips programme is extensive and varied with day trips and tours provided each academic year. The opportunities we offer are a real strength to St Joseph’s, and our range of study and field trips across the academic curriculum really strengthens classroom-based learning.

Inter-House Competition

Our six Houses compete fiercely for many converted awards throughout the year culminating in the end of term award assemblies. Pupils choose to take on a leadership roles within their House and provide many fantastic days of entertainment through different competitions, always led and managed by our talented pupil and pastoral team. Sport is a core aspect of this competition and there is something for all pupils to contribute to for their House. The overall House competition takes into account the contributing for all pupils including totals of the following:

  • Positive points on ClassCharts – Award for good work and contribution to the school community
  • Commendations and certificates – For achieving milestones on ClassCharts. Pupils are awarded these in assemblies
  • Subject prizes – awarded for progress and resilience during the school year.

Pupils are proud of their house which values all aspects of school life and engenders a sense of belonging and ownership with each house community.
